realme Malaysia has officially beat the competition in launching the GT 8 Pro, the very first commercially available Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powered phone you can buy here, this flaghip device boasts some interesting upgrades over its predecessor and the highlight feature is the ‘RICOH GR’ powered camera, in which the brand has worked with RICOH GR in enabling street photography features in its camera software.

The realme GT 8 Pro also features one of the more interesting design among other phones, as users can change the camera plateau on the back to be distinct by just removing two screws, it even has a screwdriver inside the box to help you do so. With 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage supporting the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the realme GT 8 Pro offers beefy performance in everything you do and even has a large vapor chamber to tame the processor in gaming.

Sporting a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a 1440p resolution that refreshes at 144Hz, the phone’s front glass is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, it features a robust IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance that can be submerged in 2m of water up to 30 minutes. Like other modern flagships, it has a large 7000mAh Silicon Carbon battery with support for up to 120W SuperVOOC charging and 50W wireless SuperVOOC.

The realme GT 8 Pro boasts a big camera upgrade this time, it has a new 50MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS that takes a wider 22mm focal length, a 200MP telephoto camera that does 3x optical zoom and a 50MP f/2 ultrawide camera. On top of that, the cameras feature a RICOH GR camera mode, which features four different focal lengths and five RICOH GR film simulation filters for street photography, the main and telephoto cameras are capable of taking 8K 30fps and 4K 120fps videos.

realme has also taken the opportunity to introduce the limited edition GT 8 Pro Dream Edition, which is co-branded with Aston Martin F1 Racing team with a unique Lime Essence accents, the internals are the same as the regular model and you get exclusive AMR25 dynamic wallpapers and track-sound GT mode, you also get a premium racing-style box to complete the ownership experience.

The realme GT 8 Pro is now available for preorder at realme Brand Stores, Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop, it retails for RM4299 while the GT 8 Pro Dream Edition retails for slightly more at RM4699.
