Resident Evil Requiem DLC and Resident Evil 10 release dates may be sooner than expected – NotebookCheck.net News

A new update from a Capcom insider would be welcome news for horror fans. Dusk Golem anticipates the publisher prioritizing Resident Evil Requiem DLC, potentially featuring Alyssa Ashcroft. The Resident Evil 10 release date could also be on a fast track, with 2029 as a possibility.
Even though Resident Evil Requiem isn’t available yet, development of DLC is reportedly progressing rapidly. In addition, Resident Evil 10 may arrive sooner than most fans had anticipated. While not confirmed, AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem has been reliable with leaks for the franchise.
What characters will appear in the RE9 DLC?
The insider shared an update on social media about several upcoming Capcom survival horror games. He believes that once players complete the RE9 campaign, they won’t have to wait long for more content. According to Dusk Golem, the publisher is aiming for a Resident Evil Requiem DLC release date before 2026 ends.
Along with Leon Kennedy, Grace Ashcroft will serve as the protagonist for Resident Evil Requiem. Even so, despite her passing away by the start of the title, rumors suggest the add-on will focus on her mother, Alyssa. Details are sketchy, but the new storyline may take place before the main game’s events.
Perhaps more surprisingly, Resident Evil 10 could also surface as soon as 2029. In the past, players have seen mainline entries in the series separated by 4-5 years. However, Dusk Golem reveals that RE9 was actually delayed multiple times. Despite the postponements, work on other projects, including RE10, continued.
Dusk Golem claims to know more details, but at this stage, any plans are tentative. Earlier, he suggested that RE9 would be the final chapter for several favorite characters. RE10, which likely wouldn’t have “10” in its name, would start a new story arc in an unfamiliar setting.
Other upcoming Resident Evil games
If fans crave even more horror games from Capcom, the next several years look promising. Fellow leaker NateTheHate2 corroborated reports that a Resident Evil – Code: Veronica remake is set for the first half of 2027. A reimagining of the 2002 Resident Evil 0 could then ship in 2028.
Skeptics point out that AAA games are taking longer to develop than in past generations. Still, Capcom announced it was adding resources to reduce the lag time between new titles. That could prevent any delays with the Resident Evil Requiem DLC and Resident Evil 10 release dates.
