Samsung Galaxy A57 to surpass downgraded Galaxy S26 in crucial battery area – NotebookCheck.net News

More details about the Samsung Galaxy A57 have surfaced online following prior evidence that it will be using an Exynos 1680 chipset with an Xclipse 550 iGPU. Now, it seems that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A56 refresh will beat the flagship Galaxy S26 when it comes to charging speeds, despite being a mid-range smartphone.

Samsung is likely a few months away from refreshing its Galaxy A series with new models. For context, the company released the Galaxy A07, Galaxy A17 4G and Galaxy A17 5G (curr. $218 on Amazon) a few months ago. Based on recent leaks, the company is preparing to introduce the Galaxy A27, Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 in early 2026, too.

In the meantime, what appears to be the Galaxy A57 has been spotted passing through the CCC certification process in China. While the regulatory body does not refer to the device by name, its SM-A5760 model number follows the Galaxy A55’s and Galaxy A56’s model numbers of SM-A5560 and SM-A5660 for the Chinese market. Thus, it seems likely that SM-A5760 relates to the Galaxy A57 than any other forthcoming Samsung device.

Moreover, the CCC indicates that the Galaxy A57 will match its predecessor by providing 45 W wired charging at up to 10V/4.5A or 15V/3A. By contrast, the Galaxy S26 is set to launch with the same 25 W charging capabilities as the Galaxy S25, even with its rumoured 300 mAh battery capacity upgrade. In other words, Samsung’s Galaxy A5 series smartphone will continue to surpass its entry-level flagship, despite the former being a mid-range option.
