The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is one of Samsung’s latest foldable phones, and the top model in the company’s clamshell line.

It slots in above the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE and below the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 – though that latter phone is a rather different prospect. And while the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 arguably hasn’t had as many upgrades as the Z Fold 7, it still has a lot going for it.

Below, you’ll find all the key specs of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, first in a table, and then further detailed in the text underneath.

That should give you a clear idea of what to expect from this handset on paper, but to understand how it is in practice, give our hands-on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 review a read. You might also want to check out our hands-on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE review and our hands-on Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 review.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is an improvement on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 in a number of ways, but let’s start with the screens. Here you get a 6.9-inch 1080 x 2520 foldable AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, while the cover display is a 4.1-inch 948 x 1048 one with the same peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate of its own.

In both cases, these are bigger than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6’s screens, and in the case of the cover display you’re also getting a higher refresh rate this year.

Unsurprisingly the chipset has also been upgraded, with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 having an Exynos 2500 chipset. That’s the latest and most powerful Exynos model, and it’s an improvement on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 found in the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

Sign up for breaking news, reviews, opinion, top tech deals, and more.

However, Samsung’s Exynos chipsets generally don’t perform as well as equivalent Snapdragon models, so it’s a slight shame that the Snapdragon 8 Elite – found in the Samsung Galaxy S25 series and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 – wasn’t used instead.

There’s also no change in RAM here, with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 having 12GB of the stuff, just like last year. Storage also again tops out at 512GB, so if you want a 1TB phone you’ll have to look elsewhere.

One other thing that has been upgraded though is the battery, with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 having a 4,300mAh one – up from 4,000mAh in the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. While 4,300mAh still isn’t massive, it is impressive considering the much larger Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 only has a 4,400mAh battery.

However, charging speeds haven’t improved, so you once again get quite slow 25W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.

The remaining key specs also haven’t been upgraded – the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 once again has an IP48 rating (meaning it’s water resistant to depths of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes, but only has minimal dust resistance), and it once again has a 50MP f/1.8 main camera, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera (with a 123-degree field of view), and a 10MP f/2.2 front-facing camera.

So if you want a foldable phone with more capable cameras you might instead want to consider the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which has a new 200MP main snapper, and also a telephoto lens.
