Samsung Odyssey G90XH 6K gaming monitor with 165Hz and glasses-free 3D appears – NotebookCheck.net News
With the Odyssey G90XH, Samsung has unveiled one of the most unusual gaming monitors in the world. The screen features full 6K resolution at a refresh rate of 165Hz, but it can also display content in 3D without glasses.
The successor to the Samsung Odyssey 3D G90FX (from $1,460 on Amazon) will officially debut at CES 2026 in early January. However, Samsung has now revealed the most important details about the gaming monitor in advance. According to these details, Samsung’s 3D gaming monitor is growing from 27 inches to 32 inches, while the resolution increases from 4K to 6K. This means Samsung has opted for the same resolution as Apple’s expensive Pro Display XDR.
However, the Samsung monitor offers a significantly higher refresh rate of 165Hz. Via a so-called Dual Mode, the frame rate can be doubled to 330Hz, but the resolution is usually cut in half in this case. Thanks to a very high 6K resolution, the monitor should still sport a resolution of around 3008 x 1692 pixels. That said, the major feature of the Odyssey OLED 3D G90XH is playing 3D content that doesn’t require users to wear 3D glasses.
This only works for a single user, because the 3D image is precisely adjusted to the user’s field of vision by a camera with eye tracking. This approach allows for a convincing 3D representation even when the gaming monitor is looked at from a slight angle. Moreover, Samsung is working with game developers to optimize selected games for this 3D display. Supported titles include The First Berserker Khazan, Lies of P Overture and Stellar Blade. Further details on the specifications price and release date of the new Odyssey OLED 3D are expected to be unveiled at CES 2026.
