The world’s biggest crypto trading platform has teamed up with the largest phone maker to offer direct trading access. A Coinbase One credit card can now be used for free with an introductory promo on Galaxy phones, too.

Samsung Galaxy phone owners in the US can now trade crypto for free with an introductory offer to celebrate the new partnership with Coinbase over the 10th anniversary of its Wallet app.

The world’s largest crypto exchange will now live in Samsung Wallet, allowing in-app bitcoin and other crypto purchases with Samsung Pay directly.

This expands Coinbase’s potential user base with the 75 million Galaxy phones in the US that have Samsung Wallet installed, so the exchange is giving away three months of Coinbase One subscription for free on Samsung handsets like the Galaxy S25 Ultra that is now discounted for an Amazon Prime Big Deal promo.

Coinbase One comes without trading fees for certain crypto assets, increased staking rewards and exclusive deals. Users with a Coinbase One subscription also get premium support and their Coinbase accounts are protected against unauthorized access.

In addition, Coinbase is giving Samsung Wallet users in the US $25 in free credit after their first crypto trade, with the Samsung partnership set to expand globally in the next few months, according to Drew Blackard, the Senior VP of Mobile Product Management at Samsung Electronics America:

Millions of Galaxy users rely on their smartphone to complete everyday tasks, and that goes far beyond communication – it’s paying in-store, unlocking a car, showing an ID,3 and more. Samsung Wallet enables each of these experiences, and we’re continuing to expand its functionality, With our Coinbase partnership, Galaxy users have a simple and streamlined way to access crypto from a leader in the industry.

Samsung Wallet users in the US can now view their crypto account balance, trade on their Galaxy phone, or use Samsung Pay for installments and engage in peer-to-peer transfers.

During the free crypto trading promotion period, Samsung Wallet users will also have access to the Coinbase One credit card product that allows them to earn up to 4% in bitcoin back, subject to credit eligibility criteria.
