The 32-inch 4K LG OLED gaming monitor with 480Hz mode sees its largest $700 discount in new sale – NotebookCheck.net News

32-inch OLED monitors have become a more affordable way to upgrade setups. This LG Ultragear gaming monitor converts between a 4K display with a 240Hz refresh rate and an FHD/480Hz display. Nearly half off at Best Buy, the flexible 32GS95UV is at a record-low price point.

While giant ultrawide displays tempt buyers, 32-inch 4K OLED monitors are often the more sensible choice. With dual-mode functionality, the LG Ultragear on sale at Best Buy still boasts generous versatility. Gamers with a wide range of hardware can toggle between 4K/240Hz and 1080p/480Hz options. Its WOLED panel also excels with text clarity, unlike some competing OLED gaming monitors.

In an end-of-the-year deal, the LG 32GS95UV is almost 50% off. The final price at Best Buy is $700.99, marking the retailer’s steepest discount to date.

This LG Ultragear monitor is surprisingly compact

Available in white, the LG monitor has a sleek design that complements both trendy offices and gaming setups. The 32-inch panel isn’t as immersive as the curved 39-inch Ultragear 39GX90SA, but it’s also reasonably compact. Owners will also find a pair of integrated speakers, although the model lacks the Pixel Sound technology of the similar 32GS95UE.

The Rtings review of the slightly upgraded 32GS95UE confirmed the advantages of its WOLED panel. Compared to many QD-OLED alternatives, the LG OLED monitor handles ambient light and glare well. Nevertheless, some buyers may prefer a glossy screen over its more grainy matte coating.

Another area the display excels in is rendering clear text. Because it employs a modified RGWB subpixel layout, fonts are less prone to fringing. That makes the display an excellent candidate for writing or daily office tasks.

The discounted LG monitor loses some productivity points due to limited connectivity. It doesn’t ship with KVM features, and laptop users won’t benefit from a USB-C port with power delivery.

How the 32-inch LG Ultragear adapts to gaming challenges

More crucially for gamers, the 32GS95UV offers pristine image quality and smooth motion. Its contrast ratio is near infinite, while HDR brightness is sufficient to enhance more colorful scenes. The 4K mode with 240Hz refresh rate is ideal for cinematic single-player games. Meanwhile, it switches to 1080p/480Hz to make competitive shooters feel more responsive.

The OLED gaming monitor on sale at Best Buy for $700.99 is often compared to the Asus PG32UCDP. The Asus contender also has dual-mode capabilities and the KVM and charging perks that its LG rival lacks. However, its higher price tag isn’t worth the added expense for most buyers.
