As a keen runner, I’ve worn and reviewed a lot of running shoes, but I’ve always had a soft spot for Saucony’s Ride series. All-rounder shoes perfect for the everyday runner just looking to get plenty of miles in without needing any technical performance tweaks or hugely expensive super-shoes. I’ve been wearing Saucony Rides since the Ride 14, and loved the range as it evolved.

They’re just great all-rounder shoes. If it’s hard to parse through reams of different shoes in the Black Friday deals and you’re not sure what to get, a good all-rounder shoe is probably what you need. Right now, you can get them cheaper than ever for Black Friday. The Saucony Ride 18 is available now, reduced from $145 to just $107.50 on Amazon. That’s in both women’s sizes and men’s sizes.

Today’s best Saucony Ride 18 deals

In our official Saucony Ride 18 review, we said this shoe “handles pavement, track or light trails with ease making it perfect for both short and long training days”.

I’ve certainly found that true in my experience with the Ride series: I used them for 3-4km runs around my local park, all the way up to half-marathons, and the shoe handled everything with aplomb. I’d certainly have no qualms running a marathon in these, and I might just get myself a pair for 2026’s racing season.

It’s not light enough for serious performance racing, not waterproof enough for muddy, wet trails, and not thick enough for intense ultramarathon long-distance training. But if you’re after a mid-distance shoe that’s good at everything in moderation, this is it. It’s the best running shoe for most people.
