These Verge-approved gifts are still available for up to 60 percent off for Cyber Monday

    Sheena Vasani

writes about tech news, reviews gadgets, and helps readers save money by highlighting deals and product recommendations for The Verge.

If you’re hoping to whittle down your wish list before the holiday panic truly sets in, Cyber Monday presents a prime opportunity. Many of the tech-y gifts we recommend for Christmas, graduation, Mother’s Day, and other celebratory events throughout the year are receiving their steepest discounts to date. These aren’t random picks, either; they’re items we’ve tested, reviewed, or received as presents ourselves.

The deals themselves span a wide range of categories and price points, making it easy to find something for everyone on your list. For instance, we’re currently seeing steep discounts on the latest AirPods Pro, Kindles, Nintendo Switch 2 controllers, and even a digital photo frame that looks surprisingly real. And while the majority of the picks here are gadgets, there are also Wes Anderson movies, cute kitchen utensils, and toolkits to consider. We’ve even included some basic necessities, because everyone deserves a clever charging cable.

How much do you want to spend?

    $135

The Govee Table Lamp 2 Pro combines a portable color-changing smart lamp with a Bluetooth speaker. Through the Govee app, you can customize its LEDs to sync with your music, or to display the light scene of your choice. It’ll let you set the mood for a party or for a night of studying.

    $200

Even if your loved ones lives halfway around the world, the Aura Aspen can help them feel close. The new 12-inch display looks more akin to a traditional photo frame than other models, in part due to an antiglare screen, slim bezels, and a 4:3 aspect ratio. It can also automatically showcase images via Google Photos, iCloud Photos, or a companion app, the latter of which even allows for text captions.

    $24

Just because GuliKit’s ES Pro costs significantly less than Nintendo’s Switch 2 Pro Controller doesn’t mean it’s cheaply made. It’s equipped with anti-drift TMR joysticks with adjustable sensitivity, an eight-direction D-pad, and the rare ability to wake the Switch 2. Not bad for a gamepad that retails for a third of the price.

    $18

Whether they’re planning to take a vacation or just prone to losing things, an AirTag is a smart, stress-saving gift. The UWB Bluetooth trackers tap into Apple’s vast Find My network, letting you keep an eye out and quickly recover lost luggage, keys, passports, and other items using little more than a quick glance at your iPhone.

    $80

There are few better ways to pass the time than getting lost in a good book. The base Kindle is our favorite budget e-reader, with a sharp 6-inch display, an adjustable frontlight, and a battery that can last for up to six weeks. And at just 158 grams, its lightweight design makes it easy to carry and hold for extended reading sessions.

    $40

Part wall wart, part magnetic wireless charger, Twelve South’s StandBy-ready PowerBug is about as unique as chargers come. The simple contraption can top off both MagSafe and Qi2-compatible devices — including the latest Google Pixel models — while simultaneously supplying 35W charging speeds to a second gadget via USB-C.

    $220

Whether your giftee prefers to rock out to Sabrina Carpenter or Stravinsky, the AirPods Pro 3 deliver. Apple’s latest pair of earbuds offer improved ANC and sound, a more comfortable design, and real-time fitness tracking courtesy of a new heart rate sensor. That makes them well suited for more than just listening to tunes.

    $80

It’s still hard believe the Amazfit Active 2 retails for less than $100. The humble smartwatch includes everything from offline navigation and voice commands to a strength training mode that can auto-detect sets, reps, and rest periods. It also features a vivid OLED display and a super stylish watchface — which isn’t something often associated with affordable fitness trackers.

    $250

Wes Anderson’s directing style is so distinct that it’s spawned a series of books dedicated to its aesthetic. The Wes Anderson Archive collects all of his films from Bottle Rocket through The French Dispatch in a single box set. The 20-disc trove includes every film on Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray, plus more than 25 hours of special features and 10 illustrated booklets containing essays and interviews.

    $38

Hoto’s electric screwdrivers are a mainstay at The Verge, and the company’s Hand Tool Set is just as eye-catching. All of the included components, from the needlenose pliers and claw hammer to the textured carrying case, showcase a handsome minimalist design that’s far more attractive than the usual white-label fare. It makes for an attractive starter kit, if nothing else.

    $30

The latest Blink Video Doorbell is a great pick for anyone who values peace of mind (or doesn’t want to get off the couch to answer the door). It offers a 1080p head-to-toe view and more accurate motion alerts than its predecessor, letting your giftee monitor their door wherever they are. The battery-powered buzzer can even be hardwired, extending its longevity.

    $56

Victrola’s AM / FM Bluetooth radio features a retro-inspired design, complete with an analog tuner and dials for controlling the volume, bass and treble, and different listening modes. The wood finish, rotary dial, and gold accents really complete the vintage look, while its compact design makes it easy to place on a desk or bookshelf.

    $10

Most people don’t want to wrangle cables… and who can blame them? Not us, which is why several folks at The Verge own Baseus’ handy, retractable USB-C option. The Free2Pull comes in two sizes, each of which conveniently pulls the excess cable into a small puck that’s far tidier and easier to manage than a loose cord.

    $19

Two things most people need at some point are a flashlight and a Bluetooth tracker. So why not gift both devices at once? The FlashFinder is a rechargeable, 300-lumen light outfitted with a magnetic mount you can track via Apple’s Find My network, so you never have to worry about trying to find the flashlight — or your keys — again.

    $75

The Google TV Streamer (4K) isn’t just for watching movies and TV shows in 4K with Dolby Atmos — it also doubles as a smart home hub with support for Matter and Thread. That means you can use Google’s latest streamer to control your lights, adjust the temperature of your home, and view livestreams from connected cameras, all within a snappy interface that’s easy to use.

    $68

Nomad’s leather MagSafe wallet snaps to the back of your iPhone and has enough space to hold up to four cards. More importantly, it offers integration with Apple’s vast Find My network, allowing you to track its location. Its battery can last up to five months, too, and it can be topped off on a Qi wireless charger.

    $238

Unless you’re filming cinematic shots in Hollywood, you don’t necessarily need a fancy quadcopter. HoverAir’s so-called “selfie drone” is a great budget alternative to more premium models from DJI, with top-mounted controls, excellent object tracking, and a max video resolution of 2.7K / 30fps. And did we mention it can fit in your pocket? Because it can.

    $10

Glocusent’s Bookmark Style Reading Light is the perfect gift for those who burn the midnight oil reading. The clip-on USB light offers a lightweight design and multiple brightness levels, providing a soft, warm glow that’s dim enough that it won’t disturb anyone else trying to get some shut-eye nearby.

    $14

Cooking feels a lot less like a chore with Ototo’s Nessie ladle. I mean, how do you not smile when you see the Loch Ness Monster peeking out from inside your soup? The cute, 10-inch gag gift is great for serving soups and sauces, too, especially since it can stand on its own and features a heat-resistant silicone design.

    $399

The Xreal One AR glasses put the equivalent of a 120Hz 147-inch screen in front of your eyes. The glasses can be connected to a smartphone, computer, and some handheld gaming PCs via USB-C. The glasses mirror your gadget’s display, so you can use them as an external monitor when working in addition to gaming and watching movies.
