Dang, it’s hard to find a good, cheap laptop that’s actually worth using these days. But the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 has slipped below the $500 mark, and it didn’t have to cut its specs to do so. Today, you can get one with a brand-new Ryzen AI processor and 16GB of RAM for just $449.99 from Lenovo—with a special coupon code.
This laptop is normally almost $900 and it has pretty decent specs at that price. You get the aforementioned 16GB of DDR5 RAM, a 6-core Ryzen AI 5 340 processor, and 512GB of Gen 4 SSD storage, plus a roomy 16-inch touchscreen. With that new processor and integrated NPU, this qualifies as a Copilot+ PC that unlocks all those flashy new Windows AI features if you want them. You also get a full-sized keyboard, double USB-C, double USB-A, and HDMI ports. With AMD’s excellent integrated graphics, it can probably even handle a little mid-range gaming.
