TNG eWallet Introduces Unified EV Charging Feature Across Malaysia and Singapore
TNG eWallet has launched a new EV Charging feature that allows users to locate, activate, and pay for electric vehicle (EV) charging across multiple networks in Malaysia and Singapore — all within a single app.
Powered by Voltality, a wholly owned subsidiary of Beep, the new feature connects users to a growing network of over 6,000 charging points across 1,700 locations, eliminating the need for multiple charge point operator (CPO) apps. Users can start charging sessions, make payments directly through TNG eWallet, and receive automatic refunds for any unutilised balance almost instantly — ensuring a smooth, transparent, and card-free experience.
Alan Ni, Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital, said, “As EV adoption grows in Malaysia, many drivers still juggle multiple apps just to charge and pay. We’re removing that friction. This one-of-its-kind in-app integration gives EV drivers a unified experience across networks, all through one app.”
He added that the feature launches with support from major Malaysian and Singaporean operators including KINETA, EVlution, Zura Charge, CHARGE+, RExharge, Powered by RISE, and JusEV Charging Network, alongside Singapore’s SP Mobility, CDG ENGIE, EV Mobility, and MNL Asia, with more partners set to join soon to expand coverage and convenience.
Streamlined Charging in Just a Few Steps
With this new integration, users can start charging their vehicles in just minutes:
- Open the TNG eWallet app and tap on the EV Charging icon.
- Locate a nearby charging point using the map or list view.
- Select the charger or scan the QR code displayed on the charging station.
- Plug in the charger and tap “Next” to begin charging.
- To stop, simply swipe to end the session and unplug — the cost will be automatically deducted from the eWallet, with an e-receipt available for viewing.
