Together with the PowerBug, which enables wireless charging directly from a power outlet, Twelve South has launched another Qi2 novelty. The Twelve South ButterFly SE 2-in-1 Qi2 charger allows two devices to be charged wirelessly at the same time. The new product is available directly from the manufacturer in six different colors (black, white, pink, iridescent, plum, gray) for a recommended retail price of $99.99.

The Twelve South ButterFly SE 2-in-1 Qi2 charger is a further development of the ButterFly, which was launched in 2023. At first glance, the charging solution is also reminiscent of the Anker MagGo wireless charging station (3-in-1, foldable charging pad). However, the new solution can “only” charge two devices instead of three.
 

In addition to a smartphone, an Apple Watch or AirPods can also be recharged. Qi2 is now available for wireless charging of compatible smartphones such as an iPhone with MagSafe (from generation 12 onwards). This allows for up to 15 W of charging power, but not the faster 25 W, which is already supported by some charging solutions. In addition, Apple wearables, including all Apple Watch models and various AirPods, can be charged wirelessly with up to 5 W.

The new 2-in-1 charging solution from Twelve South can be folded up to save space for transport and storage. It then measures approximately 6 x 6 x 2.5 cm and weighs 119 g. It comes with a 1 m USB-C cable. However, an power adapter (for connecting the USB-C cable to a power socket) is not included in the scope of delivery. A model with at least 30 W is recommended, such as the new Anker Nano Charger.
