Viwoods has introduced the AiPaper Reader, an Android 16 e-book tablet with a dedicated AI companion button and 6.13-inch E Ink Carta 1300 display. Users can interact with AI to explore story elements, generate summaries, and build a personal knowledge base.
Viwoods has unveiled the AiPaper Reader with an AI reading companion and a dedicated AI button for fans of e-books.
Pressing the AI button allows users to chat with one of three AI chatbots–OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, or DeepSeek. Owners can ask questions about their e-books to gain insight into the characters, locations, and stories.
Summaries can also be generated to simplify studying, while e-book snippets can be stored in a personal knowledge base, says Viwoods. AI answers are displayed on a 6.13-inch, 824 x 1,648-pixel E Ink Carta 1300 display.
The e-book reader measures 159.39 × 80.27 × 6.7 mm (6.28 x 3.16 x 0.26 in.) and weighs 138 g (4.87 oz.). An eight-core CPU with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage runs Android 16.
The tablet has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, with optional 4G LTE support, but audio output is only possible via Bluetooth headphones.
The Viwoods AiPaper Reader has an MSRP of $279.99 and is available on Amazon.
