Xiaomi 15T Series launches in Malaysia from RM1899

Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 15T Series in Malaysia, introducing the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro. The new lineup represents a major step forward for the T Series, bringing Leica-powered cameras, breakthrough connectivity features, the debut of HyperOS 3, and a flagship design at accessible prices.

Photography takes center stage with the Leica triple-camera systems. The Xiaomi 15T comes equipped with a main, ultra-wide and telephoto setup that spans focal lengths from 15mm to 92mm, while the 15T Pro raises the bar with the Leica 5x Pro telephoto camera that extends up to 230mm.

Both models feature a 50MP Leica Summilux main camera, with the base version using an f/1.7 aperture and the Pro variant offering a brighter f/1.62 aperture. The Pro model also introduces the Light Fusion 900 image sensor, which achieves an impressive 13.5 EV dynamic range for improved clarity and tonal accuracy, especially in low light. For selfies and video calls, both phones carry a 32MP front camera.

To refine images further, Xiaomi has included its new AISP 2.0 computational photography platform, which enhances depth perception, tonal range and color fidelity. Master Portrait mode has been upgraded with creative new bokeh effects such as Wide and Bubbles, while Leica Street Photography mode allows quick captures with iconic focal lengths, including an exclusive 135mm option on the 15T Pro.

On the video side, both models support 4K HDR10+ recording at 30 frames per second across all focal lengths, ensuring consistent vibrancy and contrast. The 15T Pro goes even further with 4K recording at 120 frames per second for cinematic motion, as well as 4K 60fps 10-bit Log recording with LUT input for professional-grade post-production flexibility.

Beyond imaging, the Xiaomi 15T Series also redefines mobile connectivity with the debut of Xiaomi Astral Communication.

A key highlight is Xiaomi Offline Communication, which enables direct device-to-device voice calls without relying on mobile networks or Wi-Fi. The feature allows up to 1.9 kilometers of range on the 15T Pro and up to 1.3 kilometers on the 15T, making it ideal for hikers, campers or anyone in areas without reliable signal.

To maintain consistent performance in everyday use, the Super Antenna Array works with AI Smart Antenna Switching and the Surge T1S Tuner to balance GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular signals. The series also becomes the first to ship with Xiaomi HyperOS 3, which introduces redesigned lock screens, wallpapers and widgets, improved multitasking and smarter cross-device intelligence powered by HyperAI.

Both devices feature the largest display yet for a T Series smartphone, a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and peak brightness of 3200 nits.

The Xiaomi 15T Pro enhances the viewing experience with an ultra-smooth 144Hz refresh rate, ultra-narrow 1.5mm bezels made possible by LIPO technology, and advanced DC dimming for eye comfort. The standard 15T offers a 120Hz refresh rate with 3840Hz PWM dimming to reduce flicker during low-light viewing.

Powering these phones is a 5500mAh battery that supports fast charging. The 15T Pro offers 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, while the 15T supports 67W wired charging. Both phones can retain up to 80 percent battery health after 1600 charging cycles and can boot up in just four seconds even from zero charge.

Performance is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ on the 15T Pro and the Dimensity 8400-Ultra on the 15T, paired with the Xiaomi 3D IceLoop cooling system for sustained smooth performance.

Design remains a priority, with both models featuring IP68 dust and water resistance, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for improved scratch protection and a glass fiber back for a premium feel. The 15T Pro is framed with 6M13 aluminum alloy for added durability and comes in Mocha Gold, Gray and Black, while the 15T is available in Rose Gold, Gray and Black.

Pre-orders for the Xiaomi 15T Series run until October 2, 2025, with sales beginning October 3 across Xiaomi stores, mi.com, Shopee and Lazada.

The Xiaomi 15T Pro is priced from RM2,699 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, while the Xiaomi 15T starts at RM1,899 for the same memory configuration.

Pre-order bonuses include a Xiaomi Watch S4 worth RM699 for the 15T Pro and Xiaomi Buds 5 worth RM459 for the 15T, alongside exclusive VIP after-sales benefits, extended warranty and digital perks valued at over RM1,700.
