Xiaomi’s new Mijia Outdoor Multi-Function Light is currently crowdfunding in China. This versatile gadget can be used as a head torch, a bike light or when camping. It comes with a range of accessories, including two straps, two clips and a bag.
The Mijia Outdoor Multi-Function Light delivers up to 600 lumens of white light, for an up to 110 m (~361ft) illumination range. There are three modes: spotlight (6,500k), floodlight (4,000k) or spot-floodlight combined. In spotlight mode at the highest brightness, the built-in lithium-ion battery allows the light to run for three hours, though it can run for up to 33 hours in a lower powered mode. It recharges via USB-C in around two hours, with the remaining battery level indicated with LEDs.
The Xiaomi outdoor light also offers a red light mode, which could be used for visibility when cycling at night or as an SOS signal. Plus, the larger of the two clips offers an adjustable angle up to 90°. The portable gadget is IP66 rated dust and waterproof, and is compact, measuring 57.0 x 32.0 x 23.4 mm (~2.2 x 1.3 x 0.9 inches) and weighing 86 g (~3.0 oz).
The Xiaomi Mijia Outdoor Multi-Function Light is crowdfunding at Xiaomi Youpin in China. Backers can currently pledge CNY 89 (~$13) to receive the device, though it is expected to retail for CNY 129 (~$18) in the future. The company has yet to announce plans to release this product in other markets like Europe, where it already sells the Multi Function Camping Lantern in countries like Germany (curr. €54.99 at Mi Store).
