Xiaomi Mix Flip 2: Galaxy Z Flip 7 competitor becomes available globally but via import – NotebookCheck.net News
The Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 launched in China as a new folding phone with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This Moto Razr 60 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 7 competitor has not yet been officially announced for the global market, but it’s already available for import.
Xiaomi’s Mix Flip 2 is set to be a direct rival to the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which is confirmed to launch on July 09, 2025. While Xiaomi has yet to announce the flagship folding phone for the international market, it’s now available for global buyers through import.
On Giztop, the base config of the Mix Flip 2 is available for $999, while the top-end configuration with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage is going for $1,199. For reference, the starting price of the folding phone in China is CNY 5,999, around $837. The top-end option, on the other hand, launched with a CNY 7,299, about $1,018.
So, the import prices on Giztop are quite decent, but those interested in getting the Mix Flip 2 from China should note that the folding phone will come with the Chinese version of HyperOS. While the Android skin does have support for the English language, it will come with some China-specific apps installed.
Another thing worth considering is that some features that run out of the box on global smartphones may not be supported on the imported Mix Flip 2. For example, Android Auto is known not to run on Chinese devices.
Fortunately, Giztop claims that the Mix Flip 2 will arrive with pre-installed Google Mobile Services and have the Play Store installed. The store also notes that the imported folding phone will support specific network bands, which is another thing to keep in mind.
For those interested in the specs of the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2, it’s a proper flagship folding phone. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, features a 4.01-inch outer panel and a 6.86-inch folding display, and has a relatively large 5,150 mAh battery with 67 W fast charging support (20K Ugreen Nexode 130 W power bank curr. $56.99 on Amazon).
