Nothing Phone (3a) Lite launches in Malaysia for RM1199

Nothing has unveiled the Phone (3a) Lite, marking a major step in bringing the brand’s signature transparent design and innovative software experience to a wider audience. Announced in Kuala Lumpur on 7 November 2025, the Phone (3a) Lite combines sleek craftsmanship, intelligent features, and strong performance at an accessible price, redefining what users can expect from an entry-level smartphone.

Designed to stand out from the crowd, the Phone (3a) Lite retains Nothing’s minimalist transparent aesthetic with subtle refinements for a more refined look and feel. Available in classic White and Black, the device features a glass enclosure with a premium matte texture, balanced ergonomics, and IP54-rated dust and water resistance for daily durability. An internal aluminium frame further strengthens the structure, ensuring long-term reliability while maintaining its lightweight design.

Photography takes centre stage with a 50MP main camera, powered by the TrueLens Engine 4.0 found in Nothing’s flagship Phone (3). The large 1/1.57-inch Samsung sensor captures up to 64% more light than standard sensors in its class, producing bright, balanced, and natural images even in low light. Users can enjoy advanced features such as Ultra XDR photos, Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Macro Mode, Motion Capture, and Auto Tone for enhanced detail and contrast. The 16MP front camera ensures sharp selfies and crystal-clear video calls, while the rear camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps and 1080p slow-motion at 120fps, catering to both creators and casual users.

Adding to its distinctive personality, the Phone (3a) Lite debuts the Glyph Light, an evolution of Nothing’s iconic Glyph Interface. The minimalist lighting system introduces practical and playful functions such as Flip to Glyph for silent notifications, Essential Notifications for key contacts, and a Camera Countdown for timed selfies or group shots. Users can personalise their experience with custom light patterns for specific callers and contacts, complemented by Nothing’s signature ringtones and sounds.

Running on Nothing OS 3.5, built over Android 15, the Phone (3a) Lite delivers a clean, intuitive interface with intelligent personalisation. Features like Smart Drawer for automatic app sorting, Private Space for personal files, and App Locker for enhanced security ensure both simplicity and control. Nothing guarantees three years of major Android updates and six years of security patches, with Nothing OS 4.0 arriving in early 2026. AI-powered tools like Essential Key, Essential Space, and Essential Search enhance daily productivity by simplifying note-taking, idea capture, and offline content discovery.

The phone features a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED display with FHD+ (1080 x 2392) resolution and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, offering bright and vibrant visuals with smooth scrolling and responsive gaming. With 3000 nits peak HDR brightness, 10-bit colour depth, and 2160Hz PWM dimming, the display is optimized for cinematic clarity and comfortable viewing even in bright environments.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset built on the 4nm process, the Phone (3a) Lite ensures smooth multitasking and gaming performance. Its octa-core CPU, clocked up to 2.5GHz, is supported by advanced liquid cooling for sustained performance. With 8GB of physical RAM and up to 8GB of virtual expansion, the device offers 16GB of total memory, alongside 256GB of internal storage expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. Connectivity is future-ready, with dual 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3 ensuring stable, low-latency connections.

A 5000mAh battery powers the device for nearly two days of use, optimized by Nothing OS’s efficient power management. It supports 33W fast charging that reaches 50% in around 20 minutes, and 5W reverse wired charging for powering accessories or other devices.

The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite will be available in Black and White with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage at RM1,199. Pre-orders begin on 22 November 2025 at nothing.tech and selected partners, with exclusive gifts and extended warranty for early customers. Open sales start on 29 November 2025 across online and retail channels including Nothing.tech, Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, and authorised retailers such as DirectD, TMT, Urban Republic, Vivid Concepts, TAC Mobile, SS Solution, and Nothing Image Store, as well as operator partners U Mobile and Yes 5G.
