Nintendo has a massive fanbase that spans across multiple age groups. However, apart from games, it frequently announces new and fun products such as the Nintendo Alarmo Clock to retain its fans and capture new ones. Now, it has announced a new strategy to capture a new generation of fans, and at the center of it is Mario, its official mascot.

Called My Mario, Nintendo describes it as a collection of products, games, and experiences inspired by Mario and his Mushroom Kingdom friends. Nintendo says My Mario is designed for both young children and their parents.

The My Mario products include a wood block set available in 3-piece and 30-piece variants. Both variants of the Mario Wood Block Set include familiar characters and objects such as Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Question Block, e.t.c. made from hardwood. The character blocks from the wood block sets can be used as regular amiibo characters in compatible Nintendo Switch games.

Parents can also purchase a board book titled Hello, Mario!, a Mario plushie, and rattles based on Mario, Super Star, and Super Mushroom. There are also several Mario-themed clothes and apparel for infants, toddlers, and kids such as bodysuits, blankets, and cardigans.

The My Mario collection of videos are a series of It’s Me, Mario! stop-motion shorts. Currently, there are five episodes that are available to watch here or on the Play Nintendo YouTube channel. Unfortunately, there haven’t been any new episodes in the last five months.

Last but not least is Hello, Mario!, a free app that kids can play with by interacting with Mario. They will be able to pull Mario’s face to make silly expressions, poke, or spin him around. They can also play peekaboo with Mario.

Another interesting feature of the app is a built-in break: Nintendo says after a while, Mario will get tired and fall asleep and won’t wake up despite repeated poking. This feature allows parents to reduce screen time, although it could also lead to a tantrum, if your child is angry Mario isn’t responding.

The app will be available on the App Store, Google Play Store, and Nintendo eShop starting on February 19, 2026. The wooden block sets, alongside some of the other toys and apparel, will also be available on the same day at Nintendo New York and Nintendo San Francisco stores. The board book will be released in Spring 2026 which should be between March and May.
