Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Biggest changes from the Galaxy S25 Ultra outlined – NotebookCheck.net News
ⓘ Samsung.
Ahead of its official release at Unpacked later this week, the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s most significant upgrades over the Galaxy S25 Ultra have now been highlighted, with the flagship phone set to arrive with improvements to its display, charging, and cameras to a lesser degree.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is imminent. The high-end phones are scheduled to debut globally this week, with the Galaxy S26 Ultra leading the line as the most premium model. That phone has already starred in hands-on media ahead of its official debut, with its most important upgrades from last year’s model now also outlined.
As revealed by leaked spec sheets of the S26 Ultra, the flagship phone will arrive with a slew of display upgrades over the S25 Ultra. Most notable is the new Privacy Display feature which makes the Galaxy S26 Ultra effectively unreadable when viewed at an angle, guaranteeing better privacy in public. The display itself is said to be an M14 10-bit panel versus the M13 on last year’s phone, while also integrating better anti-reflective technology.
Camera-wise, the S26 Ultra is hardly a significant upgrade on its predecessor but still offers noteworthy improvements. That includes wider apertures on its main and zoom camera for better low-light performance. The selfie camera also gets a wider lens, for more convenient group photos.
As has been known for months, charging is also improved on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The flagship phone will offer 60 W wired charging, marking Samsung’s first major improvement to its charging protocol since it introduced 45 W charging on the Galaxy Note 10 Plus back in 2019. Wireless charging will get an upgrade as well, going from 15 W to 25 W.
