Traveling to a foreign country can be quite overwhelming if you don’t speak the native language, not to mention that every single place you go can be filled with visitors that can make taking good pictures a challenge, but after taking the Galaxy S25 Ultra to Spain for Mobile World Congress, I’ve finally found good use for certain Galaxy AI features that made my travel this time a really pleasant one.

English to Spanish with Interpreter

Although this feature isn’t new on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Live Interpreter now performs faster than before and all thanks to on-device processing, you don’t necessarily need to have an Internet connection to make it work. I have used it to communicate with my Airbnb host as he wasn’t well versed in English, ordering food items at restaurants here has also been useful as I wanted certain adjustments to my food.

People here have commended the accuracy of the translation and interestingly, it has become a fun way to teach people here on how to speak our language.

Generative Edit makes Picture Perfect

A visit to Barcelona won’t be perfect without visiting the La Sagrada Familia church, but that picture perfect moment with the iconic landmark is always ruined by tourists around you, while some photobombers can jump into your frame in mere seconds after you tap the shutter button, this is where I truly appreciate the Generative Edit feature where I can easily remove objects that I don’t want in my photos.

While you might argue that this is a common feature found on other smartphones, Samsung’s implementation on this is way better than the rest as it replaces the empty spot with a relevant object, such as the photo I took above, it accurately replaces the crowd with a table that sells things and even restores trees around it, most other AI object eraser models would have just replaced it with a flat ground or have weird artifacts around it.
