    Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 leads BAFTA Game Awards 2025 nominations

    Sequel to 2017’s Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice received 11 nominations, including Best British Game

    The 2025 BAFTA Game Awards nominations have been announced, with Ninja Theory’s Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 picking up 11 nominations across multiple categories including Best British Game.

    The Chinese Room’s Still Wakes the Deep received eight nominations, with many in the performance categories as well as Best British Game and the New Intellectual Property award.

    Team Asobi’s Astro Bot and Coal Supper’s Thank Goodness You’re Here followed close behind with eight and seven nominations respectively, both being nominated in the Best Game category.

    Meanwhile, Luke Roberts is up for Best Performer in a Leading Role for his performance as James Sunderland in Silent Hill 2.

    Abbi Greenland and Helen Goalen, who portrayed the Furies in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, were among the nominees in the Best Supporting Role category.

    “[The] nominations are a celebration of 41 outstanding games that showcase the very best of the British and international games industry,” said chair of BAFTA’s Games Committee Tara Saunders.

    “They put game titles onto the global stage, unearthing hidden gems alongside the best-known game experiences of the year.”

    The BAFTA Game Awards are voted for by members of its global membership group.

    The winners will be announced on April 8, 2025, at the 21st BAFTA Game Awards in London.
