Apple Unveils Apple Creator Studio, a New All-in-One Subscription for Video, Music, Imaging and Productivity Creators

Apple has officially introduced Apple Creator Studio, a new subscription-based creative suite designed to bring studio-grade creative tools to a wider audience across Mac, iPad and iPhone. Building on the long-standing role of Apple devices in the creative community, Apple Creator Studio combines professional apps for video editing, music production, image creation and visual productivity into a single, privacy-focused package aimed at creators of all levels, from professionals and entrepreneurs to students and educators.

Apple Creator Studio brings together familiar powerhouse applications including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor and MainStage, alongside enhanced premium features for Keynote, Pages, Numbers and, at a later stage, Freeform. By packaging these tools into a single subscription, Apple aims to simplify access to its most advanced creative software while introducing new intelligent features that help creators work faster and more intuitively without compromising user privacy.

At the heart of the announcement is a major upgrade to Final Cut Pro on both Mac and iPad, introducing new on-device intelligent tools that significantly speed up complex video workflows. Transcript Search allows editors to instantly locate soundbites within hours of footage by typing keywords, making podcast editing, interviews and documentaries far more efficient. Visual Search adds another layer of intelligence by enabling users to search across clips for specific objects or actions, helping editors locate exact moments in seconds instead of scrubbing through timelines manually. Beat Detection brings music-aware editing directly into the timeline, automatically analysing songs to display beats, bars and song structure so creators can cut visuals precisely to rhythm. On iPad, a new Montage Maker uses AI to automatically assemble dynamic edits from the best moments in footage, with options to adjust pacing, sync to music and intelligently reframe videos for vertical social formats.

Music creation also sees a significant leap forward in Logic Pro for Mac and iPad with the introduction of new AI-powered tools. Synth Player joins Logic Pro’s AI Session Player lineup, acting like a virtual synthesist that can generate expressive chordal and bass performances while remaining fully controllable by the user. Chord ID further simplifies songwriting and production by analysing audio or MIDI recordings and instantly converting them into usable chord progressions, allowing creators to experiment with different styles and arrangements without manual transcription. Logic Pro’s Sound Library has also been expanded with Apple-designed packs and Producer Packs, while Logic Pro for iPad gains advanced features such as Quick Swipe Comping and natural language search for loops, making professional music production more accessible on a touch-first device.

Creative imaging takes a major step forward with Pixelmator Pro arriving on iPad for the first time. Optimised for touch and fully integrated with Apple Pencil, Pixelmator Pro on iPad delivers desktop-class image editing with features such as advanced layer management, smart selections, bitmap and vector masks, Super Resolution upscaling, Deband and Auto Crop. Deep integration with Apple silicon enables fast, responsive editing, while Apple Pencil support, including hover, squeeze and double-tap interactions, allows artists and designers to work with exceptional precision. Apple Creator Studio subscribers also gain access to new Warp tools and professional mockups across both Mac and iPad versions of Pixelmator Pro.

Beyond creative apps, Apple Creator Studio enhances visual productivity through intelligent and premium features in Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform. A new Content Hub provides curated photos, graphics and illustrations, while subscribers gain access to premium templates and themes. Advanced image creation and editing tools allow users to generate or transform images using text prompts, while on-device AI features such as Super Resolution and Auto Crop improve image quality and composition. In Keynote, upcoming beta features enable users to generate presentation drafts from text outlines, create presenter notes automatically and clean up slide layouts quickly. Numbers gains smarter tools such as Magic Fill, which can recognise patterns and automatically populate tables and formulas.

Apple Creator Studio will be available on the App Store starting Thursday, January 29, priced at RM29.90 per month or RM299 per year, with a one-month free trial included. College students and educators can subscribe at a reduced rate of RM9.90 per month or RM99 per year. The subscription includes access to Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro on Mac and iPad, Motion, Compressor and MainStage on Mac, as well as premium features and intelligent tools for Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform across iPhone, iPad and Mac. Users who prefer one-time purchases can still buy individual Mac versions of these professional apps separately via the Mac App Store.

With Apple Creator Studio, Apple is positioning itself to make professional-grade creative tools more flexible and accessible than ever, offering a unified ecosystem that supports the full creative journey, from ideation and editing to publishing and presentation, all while keeping privacy and on-device intelligence at the core of the experience.
