Apple Unveils New iPad Air with M3 in Malaysia, Starting at RM2,799

Apple has officially launched the latest iPad Air with M3 in Malaysia, bringing significant performance improvements and Apple Intelligence features to its popular mid-range tablet. Available in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, the new iPad Air delivers twice the speed of its M1 predecessor while offering advanced AI capabilities, enhanced graphics performance, and a refined user experience.

The new iPad Air is powered by Apple’s M3 chip, which features an 8-core CPU that is up to 35% faster than M1 for multitasking and processor-intensive applications. The 9-core GPU provides up to 40% faster graphics performance, while ray tracing and hardware-accelerated mesh shading ensure more realistic lighting, reflections, and smoother gameplay.

With a 60% faster Neural Engine, the iPad Air with M3 brings enhanced AI capabilities, making tasks like image processing, real-time language translation, and Siri interactions more efficient. Compared to previous models, the M3 chip delivers up to 4x faster graphics performance than the M1 iPad Air, making it ideal for content creators, gamers, and students.

The iPad Air is optimized for Apple Intelligence, Apple’s personal AI system that enhances productivity and creativity. Users can take advantage of AI-powered tools such as the Clean Up Tool in Photos, which removes distractions from images effortlessly, and Image Wand in Notes, which converts rough sketches into polished illustrations. The new Genmoji feature allows users to generate personalized emojis, while Advanced Writing Tools enhance text with context-aware editing and dynamic suggestions.

With ChatGPT integration, users can access AI-generated insights, writing suggestions, and problem-solving tools without switching between apps. Apple ensures that privacy remains a priority, with on-device processing and Private Cloud Compute keeping personal data secure.

The new iPad Air is available in two sizes: the 11-inch model, which is compact and ultra-portable, and the 13-inch model, offering a larger display for multitasking and creativity. Both models feature support for Apple Pencil Pro and the all-new Magic Keyboard, which transforms the iPad Air into a powerful workstation. The Magic Keyboard includes a 14-key function row, a larger trackpad, and an aluminium hinge with a USB-C charging port.

The iPad Air with M3 is available in Blue, Purple, Starlight, and Space Grey, with storage configurations ranging from 128GB to 1TB. The 11-inch iPad Air (Wi-Fi model) starts at RM2,799, while the Wi-Fi + Cellular model starts at RM3,499. The 13-inch iPad Air (Wi-Fi model) starts at RM3,699, with the Wi-Fi + Cellular version priced at RM4,399.

For students and educators, the 11-inch iPad Air is available at RM2,569, while the 13-inch model starts at RM3,469 under Apple’s education pricing program. The Magic Keyboard is available in White, priced at RM1,299 for the 11-inch version and RM1,399 for the 13-inch version.

Apple has also refreshed the standard iPad, now powered by the A16 chip for improved speed and efficiency. It offers double the starting storage, with models starting at 128GB. The A16 chip delivers 30% faster performance than the previous generation and up to 6x faster performance compared to the best-selling Android tablet.

The new iPad (Wi-Fi model) starts at RM1,599, while the Wi-Fi + Cellular version starts at RM2,299. Education pricing brings the starting cost down to RM1,509.

Customers can order the iPad Air with M3 and the updated iPad with A16 from Apple’s official website, Apple Store locations, and authorized resellers. Pre-orders will be available soon, with shipments expected in the coming weeks.
