EA Sports FC has announced a multi-year partnership with the European Football Clubs organisation (EFC) to bolster the “financial resilience” and visibility of its teams.

As part of its joint initiative, three clubs will receive €100,000 each to support community-led projects. Winners will be unveiled at the EFC Club Connect event in Lisbon next March.

More European clubs will be considered for inclusion in EA Sports FC 27 as a result of this partnership, which is open to all EFC members “regardless of size and gender.”

Both firms will also provide co-branded digital content to clubs in addition to in-game portfolio expansion and engagement tools.

“EFC’s partnership with EA Sports FC is about making club football at all levels more modern, inclusive and democratic – giving every club, no matter its size, the chance to grow, engage its fans and be recognised for its community impact,” said EFC CEO Charlie Marshall.

“As part of delivering for our broad and diverse range of clubs across Europe, this EFC initiative will directly unlock new revenue streams for clubs, from community grants to digital activations and in-game licensing deals.

“Together, we are helping the game evolve, blending football’s heritage with the realities and opportunities of a digital future.”
