REDMI Note 15 Series Launches in Malaysia with Titan Durability, 200MP Cameras and Bigger Batteries

Xiaomi has officially launched the REDMI Note 15 Series in Malaysia, introducing a four-model lineup that includes the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G, REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G, REDMI Note 15 5G and REDMI Note 15. Positioned as one of the most comprehensive upgrades in the history of the Redmi Note family, the new series is built around what Xiaomi calls REDMI Titan Durability, combining larger batteries, reinforced structural strength and advanced water and dust resistance, while also delivering meaningful upgrades in camera performance, display quality and overall user experience.

Durability is the central theme across the entire lineup, with Xiaomi engineering the REDMI Note 15 Series to better withstand everyday wear and unexpected accidents. At the top of the range, the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G and REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G feature Xiaomi’s most advanced durability stack to date. Both models use a reinforced internal structure known as REDMI Titan Structure, pairing a high-strength motherboard, reinforced mid-frame and multi-layer shock-absorbing design with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. These models have earned SGS Premium Performance Certification, confirming resistance to drops, bending and crushing, and are certified to survive drops from heights of up to 2.5 metres. The Pro+ variant further adds an ultra-tough fiberglass back panel designed to absorb impact without adding unnecessary bulk.

Water and dust protection has also been significantly upgraded. The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G and Pro 5G meet IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K standards, allowing them to withstand high-pressure water jets and prolonged submersion, with certification for immersion up to two metres for 24 hours. TÜV SÜD smartphone water-resistance endurance certification further reinforces their long-term reliability. The REDMI Note 15 5G and REDMI Note 15 also benefit from improved protection against splashes and dust, making the entire lineup more resilient for daily use. Across all models, Wet Touch 2.0 ensures the display remains responsive even when the screen or fingers are wet.

Battery life is another major focus of the REDMI Note 15 Series. The REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G leads the lineup with a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery paired with 100W HyperCharge and 22.5W reverse charging, delivering flagship-level endurance and extremely fast top-ups. Silicon-carbon battery technology allows higher energy density without increasing device thickness, and when combined with Xiaomi’s Surge battery management system, the Pro models are rated to retain at least 80 percent battery health after around 1,600 charging cycles, equivalent to roughly six years of typical use. Despite being the slimmest Redmi Note device to date at just 7.35mm, the REDMI Note 15 5G still packs a sizeable 5,520mAh battery, while the standard REDMI Note 15 increases capacity to 6,000mAh. Reverse charging support across the lineup adds extra convenience for powering accessories on the go.

Imaging has also been elevated across the series, with the Pro models featuring a new 200MP ultimate-clarity main camera powered by a large 1/1.4-inch sensor. This setup supports optical-level in-sensor zoom at 2× and 4×, triple focal length HDR and advanced AI processing, allowing the Pro models to deliver detailed, high-dynamic-range photos across a wide range of lighting conditions. With support for five focal lengths from 23mm to 92mm through a single lens, users can seamlessly switch between landscapes, portraits and close-ups. The REDMI Note 15 5G and REDMI Note 15 feature a 108MP camera system that delivers a 3× optical-level telephoto experience, ensuring solid versatility even at more accessible price points.

AI plays a growing role in the camera experience, with features such as Dynamic Shots 2.0, ultra-clear portrait algorithms and one-tap editing tools built into the system. The Pro models introduce the AI Creativity Assistant for more advanced editing workflows, while the rest of the lineup includes a suite of AI image editing tools, including AI Remove Reflection and AI Beautify, making photo enhancement quicker and more intuitive.

Performance is equally well balanced, with the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 platform and introducing Xiaomi’s IceLoop cooling system to the Redmi Note Series for improved thermal efficiency during sustained use. The lineup uses a mix of next-generation Snapdragon and MediaTek chipsets to deliver smoother performance and better power efficiency across different price tiers. All models support Google Gemini and Circle to Search, while the Pro+ model further integrates Xiaomi HyperAI for more personalised and intelligent on-device experiences. Flagship-level Xiaomi Offline Communication also debuts on the Pro models, enabling kilometre-level voice communication even without network coverage.

On the display front, the REDMI Note 15 Series delivers larger, brighter screens designed for immersive entertainment. The Pro models feature 6.83-inch displays, while the REDMI Note 15 5G and REDMI Note 15 use 6.77-inch panels. With peak brightness reaching up to 3,200 nits, high-frequency 3840Hz PWM dimming and triple eye-care certifications, the displays are built for both visibility and long-term viewing comfort. Audio performance is boosted as well, with the Pro models offering a 400 percent volume boost, while the rest of the lineup delivers a 300 percent boost for louder, clearer sound.

In Malaysia, the REDMI Note 15 Series is available for pre-order until 21 January 2026, with open sales starting from 16 January at all Xiaomi stores nationwide, mi.com and official Xiaomi stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop. Pricing starts at RM799 for the REDMI Note 15 (8GB+256GB), RM849 for the REDMI Note 15 5G (6GB+128GB), RM1,399 for the REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G (12GB+256GB) and RM1,699 for the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G (12GB+256GB), with various promotional storage upgrades and free gifts available during the launch period.

With its focus on durability, long-lasting battery life, high-resolution cameras and a refined overall experience, the REDMI Note 15 Series positions itself as one of the most well-rounded mid-range smartphone lineups available in Malaysia today.
