Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro to debut ‘Find Your Phone’ feature – NotebookCheck.net News

Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 4 Pro could tackle those frustrating situations where you lose sight of your handset at home with a new “Find Your Phone” feature, relying on the physical button of the earbuds’ charging case.

The rumor mill surrounding the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro has been particularly active in recent days. Although we’re still months away from the launch, we already know some key details about Samsung’s upcoming premium earphones. Now, the same source that has been revealing the accessory’s functions has shared an update regarding an interesting one: support for the “Find My Phone” feature on the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.

As reported by Android Authority, it appears the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro will introduce a “Find Your Phone” feature activated by pressing a dedicated physical button on the charging case. This convenient, one-click option tackles a problem more common than you might think: forgetting where your phone is, even in your own home.

Galaxy Buds 4 Pro case button will let you trigger “Find Your Phone”

The source had briefly mentioned Find Your Phone support in a previous report. However, their latest information clarifies a small error: it won’t be a feature inherited from previous models like the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, but an entirely new one on the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.

As its name suggests, the function will flip the standard script: instead of using your phone to find the earbuds, the accessory now becomes a remote locator for your handset. “Find Your Phone” will rely on a physical button integrated into the case, as we saw in the animations previously leaked by the source. When you press the button, the case sends a command via the active Bluetooth connection to the paired phone, triggering an audible ring.

This improvement is pretty neat. Finding your earbuds using your phone is quite simple, but things get complicated when you lose your phone. In those cases, you usually need to resort to dedicated location apps or someone else’s device to ring yours. The Find Your Phone support on the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro will be quite useful in these situations.

It’s worth noting that the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro charging case also appears to have a speaker grill. However, there are still no details about what functionality this new component might offer—beyond a potential “find your case” feature, though this is just speculation for now.
