UnderDogs reveals gameplay trailer for PS5/PC adventure game Mukti

    May 21, 2025 5:30 AM

Indian independent game developer UnderDogs Studio revealed the gameplay for its upcoming PS5 and PC game, Mukti with a new gameplay trailer.

Mukti is a first-person narrative adventure in the tradition of Gone Home. The events of Mukti are set against the backdrop of a mid-2000s India, putting players in the role of Arya, a young woman searching for her grandfather in a sprawling museum owned by him. Players will piece together the mystery of his
disappearance while uncovering harrowing truths and hidden narratives behind the scourge of human trafficking.

Mukti is a part of Sony’s prestigious India Hero Project. underDOGS Studio has been working with Sony to bring Mukti to life for over a year.

“Being a part of Sony India Hero Project didn’t just give us fuel to bring our vision to life, it also
reaffirmed our belief that Indian stories belong on the world stage,” said Mukti game Director
and UnderDogs Studio founder and CEO Vaibhav Chavan, in a statement. “Now, we’re thrilled to finally give you a glimpse of what we’ve been crafting behind the scenes.”

You can wishlist the game right now for PS5 via the PS Store and PC via Steam.

Wishlisting is critical for indie efforts like Mukti to cut through the clutter of the games space. “As an indie studio from India, every wishlist counts,” said Chavan. “It tells the world that there’s a growing hunger for Indian stories told through high-quality games. It pushes boundaries and opens doors, not just for Mukti, but for a whole generation of Indian developers. So if the teaser stirs something in you, if you believe in bold stories, fresh voices, and unforgettable adventures — please hit that wishlist button today.”

    Mukti PS5 Features

Built to harness the power of the PS5 and PS5 Pro, Mukti’s immersive environments, intense sequences, and emotionally-driven scenes are best experienced in 4K. UnderDogs Studio is also working closely with PlayStation to ensure haptics and adaptive triggers — key features of Sony’s iconic PS5 DualSense controller are tuned to enhance the experience such subtle vibrations during moments of quiet puzzle-solving.
