    Samsung launches Galaxy Watch8 series

Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic, solidifying a bold new identity for the Galaxy Watch lineup. Inspired by the cushion design first seen on the Galaxy Watch Ultra, the latest series delivers the thinnest and most comfortable Galaxy Watch to date—crafted for continuous health tracking, intelligent interactions, and everyday style.

“By combining purposeful design with advanced sensor technology and intuitive AI experiences, the Galaxy Watch8 series serves as a starting point for a healthier, more connected life,” said TM Roh, President and Acting Head of the Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics.

The Galaxy Watch8 lineup features a completely reengineered internal structure, reducing its thickness by 11% and enhancing comfort with the new Dynamic Lug system. This ensures the watch fits more naturally and securely on the wrist, boosting the accuracy of health tracking. The display shines with up to 3,000 nits peak brightness for visibility even under direct sunlight, while the improved battery life and a new 3nm processor promise powerful, efficient performance. Dual-frequency GPS enhances location precision, and Samsung’s updated BioActive Sensor provides deeper, more reliable health insights.

Samsung continues its health-first mission with smarter, more personalized wellness tools. Bedtime Guidance measures circadian rhythm to suggest optimal sleep timing. Vascular Load tracks stress on the vascular system during sleep for holistic insight. Antioxidant Index, a smartwatch first, measures carotenoid levels in five seconds, helping users gauge aging and lifestyle impacts.

Runners and fitness enthusiasts get tailored training plans via Running Coach, while the updated Together feature gamifies fitness challenges with friends and family. For mental wellness, High Stress Alert, Mindfulness Tracker, and Energy Score offer real-time stress management and energy balance insights.

The Galaxy Watch8 series is the first to ship with Google’s Gemini AI assistant and Wear OS 6. Gemini handles natural voice commands for actions like setting workouts, finding cafes, or messaging friends—all from the wrist. The intuitive One UI 8 Watch redesign enhances the experience with new Multi-Info Tiles, a Now Bar, and depthless notifications.

Galaxy Watch8 is available in 40mm and 44mm sizes in Graphite and Silver, blending minimalist style with everyday functionality.

Galaxy Watch8 Classic features a signature rotating bezel and added shortcut button in a 46mm size, available in Black and White.

Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) is designed for outdoor adventurers with rugged durability, a titanium build, and the longest battery life in the series. It comes in Titanium Blue, Gray, Silver, and White.

For those seeking a more discreet health tracker, the Galaxy Ring offers up to 7 days of battery life in Titanium Black, Silver, or Gold and is available in sizes 5 through 15.

In Malaysia, the Galaxy Watch8 series is now available for pre-order, with general sales beginning July 25, 2025.

The 44mm Galaxy Watch8 is priced at RM1,399 for the WiFi version and RM1,699 for WiFi + LTE.

The 40mm Galaxy Watch8 is priced at RM1,299 for WiFi and RM1,599 for WiFi + LTE.

The Galaxy Watch8 Classic 46mm is priced at RM1,799 for WiFi and RM2,099 for WiFi + LTE.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra is priced at RM3,399 and is available in four titanium finishes.
